Secretary - Janet Struble
As memory serves me, I always wanted to be a teacher. In the first years of my 20-year career, I taught math (general science and algebra I) and science (physics and physical science) in high schools. Eventually, I found my niche in junior high science. It takes a special person to expand the minds of adolescents. For the past four years, I have been working at The University of Toledo for Drs. Charlene Czerniak (TAPESTRIES project) and Kevin Czajkowski (SATELLITES and GLOBE). Most of my energy is focused on designing and implementing science professional development for teachers. Since I work at a university, I try to make known to professors the needs and concerns of the everyday teacher.
On a personal level, I am in the doctorate program at UT. Professionally, I have served on many boards and committees, have written grants, have published articles, and have presented at conventions for local, state, and national organizations. Deb Shelt, from Bowling Green State University, and I oversee an undergraduate organization of SECO, BG/UT SECO.
Please feel free to contact me to provide insight on how I can best serve you
